Some of the services that we offer
Vehicles have many systems engineered to work together. Many of them must work in unison to provide you with a car that drives, cools, brakes, steers, etc. Some cars have more than 15 computers that interact with each other. With all of that going on, we sometimes forget that there are still basic needs of all automobiles that you must take care of. Part of our job is to inform and sometimes remind you of these items that need attention to keep your car or truck moving down the road.

Oil Changes-All vehicles are not created equally. Mileage intervals for maintenance services vary, so why spend more than you need to? We make it a point to perform a free 30-point inspection on every vehicle we raise in the air. Many quick lube companies do not raise your vehicle, so they cannot perform a thorough inspection. We don't try to sell you everything based on miles. You don't need an air filter every 3000 miles, but you do want to know if your wheel is about to fall off, right? We will also give you a timeline on services you may need.

Computers, Electrical Systems-Everything is powered by the battery. All electrical systems require a minimum of 12 volts. The charging system (alternator, regulator) must continue to keep the battery above 12 volts as it is drained by the ignition system, fuel pump, computers, starter, and many more. We have the knowledge and equipment to diagnose malfunctions within these components (and the miles of wiring in between).

Brakes-Late model vehicles are more complicated than ever with ABS and TRACTION CONTROL. The brake pads still wear out, but sometimes replacing them without the right tools can be very costly. Proper inspection is critical before and after a repair.

Tires-Black and round, right? Can you see the inside edges of your tires without crawling on the ground? Are there steel cords exposed? Did you know that mismatched or worn out tires on an all wheel drive can damage the driveline? Did you know tires have an age limit? Tires have different traction and wear ratings. Less expensive isn't always better, depending on your circumstances. Your vehicle has particular tire needs. Check with us to see if your car is safe and road ready.

Wheel Alignment-People tend to think that as long as the car doesn't drive sideways, they aren't concerned with the alignment. The truth is-if your wheels are not aligned properly, it will create tire wear that could cause a blowout if bad enough. Most late model cars have front and rear adjustments that can compensate for some bent components when you hit that @@## big pothole. Have your tire wear checked by a trained tech that can ask you questions about your driving habits. A proper alignment can save you money by allowing your tires to last as long as they were designed to and also get better gas mileage.

Exhaust-Yes we do it. We can customize, bend, repair or replace it.

Air conditioning and Heating-These systems are probably paid the most attention to by drivers. The rest of the car can suffer, but not our comfort! These systems also continue to get more complicated as they are integrated into the computers with automatic temperature control.

Welding-Over the years, we have had opportunity to customize and weld some interesting items for our customers. We enjoy helping when we can. Sometimes you don't know where to go to get something fixed. Ask us, if we can't, we can usually direct you in the right direction.

Commercial and Fleet Vehicles- Speedway has been servicing fleet vehicles for 15 years. We are continually recommended to companies looking for quality and honest work.

Engines, Transmissions, Driveline-These never go away and sometimes need replacement or repair. We have several suppliers for new and used major components. We work with some of St Louis' best machinists and rebuilders.

Boats-Full service, maintenance, winterizing we are fortunate to have a tech on staff with better that 20 years experience servicing all types of boats. Call us with any questions.
